Big Note Mobile Instrument Repair™ was born of the recognition that the typical instrument repairs take too long. Students are missing out on valuable learning and playing time. Music stores with in-house repair shops are few and far between, and when you add the hassle of trying to get to the music store after school in traffic, instruments are just not being repaired. The kids are then either not playing or playing with instruments that are not in good playing condition.
Big Note Mobile Instrument Repair provides a brilliant new method of serving the band directors and parents of students in school bands. We bring the repair shop to you! Approximately 90% of all repairs, which bring the instrument to good playing condition, can be done on our mobile repair shop - actually a mobile repair bus! For major repairs, we bring the instrument back to the shop and will have it returned to the school promptly.
I grew up in the music industry with my family's music store in Wisconsin. I've worked over 20 years with various music stores from "Mom and Pop" to "big box" stores. I've worked with band directors and have seen the frustration levels first hand. One band director admitted a local music store had his trombone for 7 months! Thus, Big Note Mobile Instrument Repair was born.
We will also carry your favorite every day accessories that band students need right on the repair bus; valve oil, reeds, mouthpieces, cork grease and more. We can handle special orders as well.
